Atiku Abubakar, on Friday, November 24, announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress. His presidential ambition has endured for decades and has seen him switching political parties quite a few times. Back in 1993 he came third behind MKO Abiola and Babagana Kingibe in the Social Democratic Party primaries. There was to be a run off between Atiku and MKO, but Atiku conceded. Years later he tried to succeed his one time boss, Olusegun Obasanjo. He had quit the Peoples’ Democratic Party to run on the Action Congress Platform. He returned to the PDP but lost to Jonathan in the parties 2011 primaries. He is said to be the second politician to get verified on Twitter… hold on, it’s starting to seem as if we are campaigning for him. Do the Atiku Bounce!
Banky W and his new bride Adesua found a way to trend in the week after their buzz wedding. The internet went nuts on Monday when Banky W while filming a couple of Zebras outside their room, mistakenly flashed an image of his wife putting on her underwear. Fans who think they are showing too much will need to take note of the couple’s mysaexperience hashtag which suggests that they are being paid to show off their wedding anniversary. Come on, it’s no more tacky than reality TV.
Early in the week, the Minister of Information and Culture urged the media to find the difference between criticizing the Government and mocking the Government. We at Howfana are still learning the difference.
Oh, and I’ll be in Port Harcourt for the weekend.
